Connecting a Wallet

To create DAOs, vote, and sign any transactions in XDAO TON, you need to connect a TON wallet via TonConnect — the standard wallet-connection protocol in the TON ecosystem. All TonConnect-compatible wallets are supported, for example, Tonkeeper.

The connection itself isn't a blockchain transaction but a cryptographic signature (TON Proof) with which your wallet confirms the address belongs to you. It's free and requires no gas.

On the connection screen — part of onboarding on first sign-in, and available later via the Mini App's header — click Connect Wallet.

The Mini App will open the standard TonConnect window with a list of available wallets. Choose your wallet — for example, Tonkeeper — and confirm the connection in its interface (in the wallet app itself, or via QR code if it's installed on another device).

Your wallet will ask you to sign a sign-in request (TON Proof). Confirm the signature — XDAO TON will verify it and authorize you in the app.

Once connected, a shortened version of your wallet address appears in the Mini App's header — confirming that sign-in succeeded.

Managing the connection

Click the wallet address in the top-right corner of the Mini App to open the Connected Wallet window:

  • the full address is shown, and clicking it copies the address to the clipboard;
  • the Disconnect Wallet button disconnects the current wallet — for example, to connect a different one;
  • if no wallet is connected, the same button offers Connect to TON.

If you disconnect your wallet and connect a different one, you're effectively signing in to the app under a different address — access to your DAOs and to some features (for example, Airdrop) is determined by the specific TON wallet you're connected with.
