Push Rounds
A Push round (Push mode, "Payment List", Mode B) is the second distribution mode offered by the Mass Payout Plugin. Unlike a regular round (Create Distribution Round, Pull), where the DAO forms a shared pool for LP holders and each of them claims their share themselves, in a Push round the DAO specifies a ready-made list of addresses and amounts up front — and the plugin sends the payments out automatically, with no action required from recipients.
| Distribution Round (Pull) | Push Round (Push) | |
|---|---|---|
| Recipients | LP holders, in proportion to their share | any list of addresses (up to 200), amounts set manually |
| Requires Crowdfunding Module / LP tokens | yes | no |
| How the recipient receives funds | themselves, via the Claim button from their wallet | does nothing — the plugin sends it automatically |
| How to stop the round | Close Distribution Round | Cancel Push Payout Round |
Push rounds are convenient for one-off payouts — salaries, bonuses, task rewards — when the recipients and amounts are known in advance and aren't tied to an LP share.
To create a Push round:
Create a proposal (Create Proposal) of type Create Distribution Round and switch the mode at the top of the form to Payment List (Push).
Specify the round name (Round Name, e.g. "March Payroll"), the proposal name, and the description.
If the DAO has several Mass Payout Plugins installed, choose the one you want.
Choose the payment currency: TON or jetton. The form shows the plugin's current balance in the selected currency.
Even when paying out in jettons, the plugin needs a reserve of TON for gas: roughly 0.055 TON per recipient plus a 0.2 TON storage reserve. The form will warn you if the plugin doesn't have enough TON and offer a quick way to top it up.
Fill in the list of recipients. Quick Add Recipients lets you bulk-add GP holders and/or LP holders using separate toggles (for LP — with a choice of a specific LP token, if there's more than one) — the addresses are added to the table below, and you then need to fill in the amounts manually. Addresses can also be added manually.
In the recipients table (up to 200 rows), specify the address and amount for each recipient; extra rows can be removed with the ✕ button. The total pool amount (Total Pool Amount) is calculated automatically.
Specify the Voting Duration and click Create Proposal.
GPs vote on the proposal. Once general consensus is reached, the Mass Payout Plugin sends payments to all recipients sequentially; progress ("X of Y sent") is shown on the round's card under the Distributions tab. Once all payments are delivered, the round is marked Sent.
Cancelling a Push round
While a round hasn't been fully sent yet, it can be stopped with a separate Cancel Push Payout Round proposal:
Create a proposal of type Cancel Push Payout Round.
If there are several Mass Payout Plugins, choose the one you want, then select an active Push round from the list — the form shows the pool amount and how many payments have already been sent (X / Y).
Specify the Voting Duration and click Create Proposal. Once general consensus is reached, sending of the remaining payments stops.
Cancelling doesn't roll back payments that were already sent — they remain with the recipients. The unsent portion of the amount stays on the Mass Payout Plugin; you can withdraw it with a Withdraw Mass Payout Funds proposal.
