# Forbid to Add Members

GT Minting is the ability to add new members to a DAO. Since you cannot transfer GT tokens to anyone without voting, disabling and freezing this feature will block the ability to print GT tokens permanently. Adding to the organization will only be possible by redistributing GT to the new member. 

To permanently disable GT Minting:

1\) Click Forbid to Add Members on the Manage page in your DAO;<br>

2\) Click Create voting and create a vote. Once activated, GT Minting will be permanently disabled.<br>

Disabling and freezing GT Minting permanently prohibits increasing the current number of GTs. If you intend to invite new DAO members through GT Minting rather than redistributing, do not freeze this feature.
