# Add Member

Adding a new member to a DAO is basically a simple voting.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Make sure that GT Minting is enabled before creating a vote. Otherwise the transaction will be cancelled, but initially GT Minting is always on.
{% endhint %}

1\) Click Add Member on the Manage page of your DAO;

2\) To add a member, enter their public address and number of GT;<br>

3\) Once the vote is created and activated, the specified amount of GT will be sent to the new DAO member and they will appear in the DAO members section of the Activity page of your DAO.<br>

You can also add GT to the current manager to increase the number of votes for a particular person or your own. In this case, the algorithm is the same.
